“As it was my first mission I was nervous, especially as I knew I would be staying with a family whom I had never met! But it was an amazing experience to be welcomed so warmly by the dear church family of The Upper Room. We had the privilege of sharing our own testimonies, experiences and evangelistic teaching and were truly blessed to witness God at work among folk with such willing spirits. The excitement and anticipation of how God was preparing them was infectious! and I came away from the whole experience feeling blessed, healed, awakened and most of all...desperately excited about going on the next mission!” Sarah

“I was bringing items back into the shop from outside, when a total stranger approached me and asked me how the money from our shop was spent. I told him we spend the money to feed and bring relief to the poor in the UK and around the world as well as orphans and others in need. He then thrust an envelope in my hand and said, “this is for your shop” and walked away. As I opened the envelope I found £200 in cash inside. When I looked around to say thank you, the man had completely disappeared, there was no sign of him anywhere. I was screaming with delight and excitement and could not wait to ring Elaine and tell the others what had happened.  This was a wonderful surprise and an amazing gesture of such human kindness.
